Amicus Students

We are proud of our students.

Each year, trained Amicus Reps carefully select and prepare each student for their exchange year. Students must be of sound character with exceptional maturity, and are expected to interact well with both their peers and adults. In addition, every Amicus student has demonstrated above average skill in both written and spoken English.

Student requirements:

  • Must be between the ages of 15 and 18.5 at the start of the program.
  • Must maintain a minimum “C” grade average.
  • Must respect the policies and guidelines of the host school including those pertaining to attendance, conduct, grade level, classes taken, school activities and/or any school function.
  • Must comply with all U.S. laws. Use or possession of illegal drugs and sexual misconduct is not allowed. Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed.
  • Are not permitted to drive, obtain or attempt to obtain a driver’s license, or participate in any type of driving classes.
  • Are encouraged to participate in extra- curricular activities and athletics; however, participation in these activities is never guaranteed.
  • Must abide by the decisions of Amicus, its Representatives and the host family.
